Bloom's Taxonomy

Benjamin Bloom's course design is a 6-tier hierarchical level of assessments. It is made to establish skills that are bound to be used as a necessity. In the course of public service, the importance can be correlated in a way that the levels can be an aid in the process of learning.[1] As future public safety officers, the first level is to: Remember. Remembering and recalling facts is a tool an officer can use as a memory guide. We must know that recognizing and identifying is also needed in policing, as failure to do so can lead to a consequence. This taxonomical study also helps in learning comprehension of most, this is also a training ground for us graduating cadets to what is it that should be step-by-step learning to have a more critical and analytical assessment on the field.

In policymaking, it is also a must to understand and apply, these are the second and third levels of the inquiry. Understanding the things that need to be addressed in the community. Grasping the assessment to create better policy-making for many. Key factors in becoming a wise and inspirational leader are that, when we can interpret, summarize, and construct. Applying to our jobs the things we are honed to redirect for the common good of its stakeholders. We need to be creative in solving problems and fluent in public speaking to deliver a message in clear and simple language. The fourth and fifth levels of the hierarchy, it is the complex partnership of analyzing and evaluating. The skills can be related to analyzing, interpreting, and associating truthful facts and evidence played to be fostered the better man. In public service, an initiative to further assessment, is also a must, especially in our era. Evaluation can be directed as the assessment of an open-field talk. Posing for the evident need for development these can be anchored to for the benefit of the community.

As graduating cadets, the heavy weight of responsibility is vested on our shoulders too. The last level to create. The outcome is worth seeing. We are seen and criticized by the way how did last see. To create is also synonymous with these words, design, formulate, build, invent, create, compose, generate, derive, modify, and develop. We should always bear in mind that these cognitive skills are helpful in our daily lives and courses. According to Terry Heick, his framework can be used to create assessments, evaluate the complexity of assignments, increase the rigor of a lesson, simplify an activity to help personalize learning, design a summative assessment, plan project-based learning, frame a group discussion, and more conceptual frameworks, assessments, and lastly the welfare of the green shirt. Future public safety officers are given these levels because of the evident need for us to be better at communicating especially when assigned to the community. We must be knowledgeable first on how can we successfully convey the message to the general public.
