We rendered a courtesy call to PMAJ LEO A DANASEN, Acting Chief CARMU, Baguio City Police Office, and PLTCOL RENNY D LIZARDO, Force Commander, City Mobile Force Company. During the courtesy call, schedules, tasking, and activities were discussed to be executed for the whole period of the Station Immersion and the areas to be focused which would be the PNP’s Quad Concept, specifically, the Intelligence Section, Operations Section, Investigation Section, and PCR Section.[1] Also, pieces of advice were given pointing out the do’s and don’ts during the immersion to improve our performance of duties.
Furthermore, we were briefed on the current situation of the city and the challenges that the police force is facing. The importance of community involvement and cooperation was emphasized, as well as the need to maintain professionalism and integrity in carrying out our duties.
Throughout the immersion, we are expected to be exposed to different scenarios and situations that will test our skills and abilities. We will be participating in various operations and investigations, and be able to apply the theories and principles we have learned in the Academy. It will be a hands-on experience that will teach us the importance of teamwork, communication, and critical thinking.
We were also given a tour of the Baguio City Police Office and introduced to the different units and sections. We were able to observe their operations and learn from their experiences and best practices.
Overall, the courtesy call was a valuable experience for us as it allowed us to gain a better understanding of the PNP’s role in maintaining peace and order in the community. It also served as a reminder of our responsibility to serve and protect the public with utmost dedication and commitment.
