We had undergone a lecture on Patrol Operations focusing on the practices or techniques that the city police officers employ in maintaining peace and order in the city. It is we, the law enforcers, who examine and analyzes the area of operation to employ the best operational strategies to achieve the goal of protecting the public and maintenance of peace and order.
In Baguio City, patrol operations are essential for preserving peace and order. A popular tourist destination in the Philippines' mountainous interior, Baguio City welcomes thousands of travelers each year. The safety and security of the city's citizens and visitors must be guaranteed.
The patrol operations are carried out by the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the City Government's Public Order and Safety Division. These agencies work together to conduct regular patrols in various areas of the city, including residential areas, commercial centers, and tourist spots. The patrol operations play a deterrence function in addition to their preventive and response duties at the same time implementing the different operational plans which had already emerged as the city’s best practices such as the OPLAN TAMBULI and OPLAN ARO.[1]
Patrol units on the streets can serve as a deterrent to possible criminal activity, keeping the city safer for both locals and tourists. In summary, patrol actions are crucial to keeping Baguio City’s law and order. The PNP and the Public Order and Safety Division of the City Government have worked together to make sure that both residents and tourists to the city are safe and secure. The patrol actions are essential in preventing and combating criminal activity, preserving traffic flow, and generally making Baguio City a safer and more pleasant place to live or visit. The success of patrol operations relies on the cooperation and support of the community, including reporting any suspicious activities or behavior to the authorities. In addition, the city government has also implemented various programs aimed at promoting peace and order, such as the anti-drug campaign, anti-smoking ordinance, and anti-littering campaign.
Overall, Baguio City's patrol operations are an important aspect of maintaining peace and order in the community. The collaboration between the PNP and the City Government's Public Order and Safety Division, coupled with community involvement and support, ensures that Baguio City remains a safe and enjoyable place for everyone.
The Philippine National Police has hope in its cadets. The advantages of carrying out the aforementioned action will guarantee the success of their work in serving the public. It can make use of and evaluate how to develop and make the organization better. It helps to make sure that they are performing their jobs properly and upholding the station cycle as future officials. The objective of the activity is to showcase and improve the skills of the cadets of the PNPA.
